An event location with tradition
Located in the heart of Berlin Kreuzberg and part of a centerpiece of the neighborhood: The Marktlokal, the restaurant of the Markthalle Neun, which opened its doors for the first time back in 1893. Today's wood paneling in the dining room dates back to the first day. The traditional restaurant also became known in German literary and film history as the setting in the novel "Herr Lehmann" by Sven Regener. As in the film, the restaurant also impresses in reality with the over 10 meter long bar, high ceilings and large windows. In warm temperatures, the wide and quiet sidewalk can be used; in summer, the sun warms from 2 p.m. and invites you to linger.
Restaurant, bar and event location in Berlin Kreuzberg
The restaurant includes a club cellar. Formerly known as a concert venue, the brick vaulted cellar with checkroom, smoking room, bar and stage is now rented out for events - either separately or together with the restaurant. The Marktlokal thus offers almost limitless possibilities in the realization of a Christmas party, a corporate event, a wedding, a PR & marketing event, a photo and film production, a dinner event, a summer party or private celebrations.
