Originally christened "MS Friedrichstadt", it later sailed as "MS Schildhorn" and finally as "MS Lex".

This special ship is the only saloon ship with an upper deck that was built at a Berlin shipyard on behalf of the former GDR government. It was used exclusively for the private purposes of Erich Honecker and Erich Mielke - a history that is still visible today in the mirrored windows, which do not allow a view of the interior from the outside and thus ensure privacy and discretion.
