What began as Bauwerk Studio became Urban Content House with a focus on content - and is now more than ever a place for change, ideas and creative energy: INNOV/8.
The name says it all: a powerful play on words that means more than just "Innovate". It stands for transformation, for progress, for spaces that enable new ways of thinking. Not just a new name - but a clear sign of further development.
Located in a former industrial hall, INNOV/8 is now a studio, event loft and think tank in one:
Two levels, impressive ceiling height, industrial style and adaptable set-ups make the location the perfect backdrop for photo and video productions, workshops, product presentations, creative offsites and events with character.
A space for rethinking, redesigning and staging.
Located directly opposite BASIX, INNOV/8 can be booked individually or in combination - for sustainable experiences, dynamism and creative event design.

What sustainability initiatives does the venue implement?
Our commitment to sustainability - ecological, social and cultural
Sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us - it is part of our attitude and our daily actions. Together with woodify, we protect 10,000 m² of forest in the Bergisches Land region. Our climate forest remains untouched and machine-free so that nature can regenerate in peace - a living contribution for future generations.
We also focus on responsibility on a small scale: we use 100% green electricity from wind, sun and water - TÜV-certified and free from CO₂ emissions and radioactive waste. In cooperation with our catering partners, we also pay attention to sustainable catering: vegan and vegetarian buffets, seasonal and regional ingredients, environmentally friendly preparation and short transport routes - with the clear aim of avoiding food waste.
But for us, sustainability does not end with environmental protection - it also includes social and cultural commitment. With every bottle of H2O CGN, we support Cologne's cultural scene - from clubs and galleries to independent theatres. Our mission is to promote cultural diversity and support passionate creators.
At the same time, we support social projects such as Goldeimer with the aim: "Toilets for all! All for toilets!" - because access to safe sanitary facilities is a human right. We also set an example locally: Together with the VISION e.V. association and our catering partners, we regularly donate leftover food for the daily lunch menu and are actively involved in combating food waste.
