Baccaresca Castle is a historic 12th-century residence set within a 240-hectare private nature reserve in the hills of Gubbio, in Umbria. Rich in period frescoes and monumental details, the castle is the ideal venue for corporate meetings, conferences, training courses, incentive events and team-building activities in an exclusive, private and rejuvenating setting.
The venue offers indoor and outdoor facilities to suit every need:
Baccaresca Meeting Room: accommodates up to 50 people in a theatre-style layout, perfect for executive meetings, workshops and private training courses.
Exclusive Restaurant: the charmingdining rooms with brick cross vaults can host corporate events, banquets and gala dinners for up to 250 people, with a direct view of the private park.
Thanks to the extensive green spaces and the natural estate, we organise experiential activities designed to strengthen team spirit:
On-Estate Activities: archery lessons, medieval re-enactments and challenges, cookery classes and guided tastings.
Local Experiences: guided tours of Gubbio and Assisi, artisan pottery workshops, horse riding and adventure excursions in the Monte Cucco Regional Park.
The Castle Restaurant, housed in the ancient medieval cellars, offers bespoke corporate menus curated by the chef. The cuisine showcases the finest produce of the Umbrian region, featuring locally sourced ingredients from the estate’s vegetable garden, homemade pasta and bread, as well as DOC, DOP and IGP selections. In the warmer months, the gardens and the outdoor wood-fired oven provide a picturesque setting for corporate aperitifs, cocktail parties and themed evenings.
29 Rooms and Suites: elegant, tastefully furnished and equipped with all modern comforts, divided into Classic, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Tower categories.
Wellness Centre & Private Spa: ideal for post-meeting relaxation, featuring a Turkish bath, sensory showers, a whirlpool with chromotherapy, a salt room and personalised wellness treatments.
We believe in the importance of being sustainable and respectful of the environment around us; our quality of life depends on it! We minimise as far as possible the impact our activities may have on the ecosystem in which we operate: heating and domestic hot water are provided by woodchip boilers, using wood produced on our own 240-hectare estate. Electricity is supplied by a 75 kWh photovoltaic system. The fossil fuel used to power agricultural machinery and the gas used in the kitchen are largely offset by our approximately 150 hectares of woodland.
Rental times are flexible and can be agreed individually
