The Neoclassical building on Luisenstraße was designed by Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse. Completed in 1840, it served as the teaching block for the first Prussian school of veterinary medicine. The entire building has undergone extensive restoration. The banquet hall on the second floor provides space for events, keynote lectures, conferences, summer schools and the assessment of postgraduate programmes.
