Frankfurter Wirtshaus – German-Hessian cuisine right on the Main
The Frankfurter Wirtshaus combines tradition and modernity in one of Frankfurt’s most beautiful locations: right on the banks of the Main, at the foot of the historic Eiserner Steg. The ambience is a successful blend of rustic charm and urban design – exposed concrete, copper accents and stylish pendant lights meet exposed brickwork, decorative tiles, iron features and 150-year-old wooden barrels from the Binding Brewery Museum. A touch of Frankfurt’s history meets a cool, contemporary pub atmosphere here.
The menu features classics of German and Hessian cuisine: boiled beef, pork knuckle, schnitzel, spare ribs, grilled chicken and the iconic Frankfurt green sauce – complemented by international favourites such as burgers, steaks and fresh salad creations. All dishes are homemade using regional, carefully selected ingredients and prepared in the open kitchen.
Drinks on offer include draught beers from the Binding Brewery, craft beer from Braufactum, Ebbelwoi from Possmann, and fine wines from the Rheingau and Rheinhessen regions.
During the warmer months, the outdoor terrace right on the banks of the Main invites you to enjoy a relaxed meal with a view of the Eiserner Steg.
Rentals outside the listed hours are possible by arrangement.
There are several multi-storey car parks in the immediate vicinity, including the Römerberg car park and the City-Haus car park – both just a few minutes’ walk away.
