Gråbogården
Gråbogården is an idyllic private estate, just 30 minutes from Gothenburg. Surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation, creativity and shared experiences. Whether it’s a conference, wedding, corporate event, celebration or a longer stay to explore Sweden’s west coast – the entire estate is rented exclusively for your group.
Gråbogården can accommodate up to 40 guests with a total of 37 beds in seven modern shared rooms, including 3 double beds. All rooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses, down pillows, duvets, bed linen and towels. There is also an exclusive glamping dome with a double bed and modern comforts for a special experience of the great outdoors.
The natural surroundings are perfect for hikes, walks and swimming at the private jetty by the lake. Canoes, kayaks and SUP boards are also available to guests.
Facilities for conferences, celebrations and weddings
The large hall serves as a conference room, dining room and function room, and can accommodate up to 60 guests for an indoor dinner. Facilities include cosy seating areas, a fireplace, a large-screen TV, a sound system and high-quality speakers. Guests may bring their own food and drink and use the fully equipped kitchen, or book catering through us.

What steps does the venue take to improve sustainability?
Some of our key areas of focus:
We use indoor and outdoor bins to recycle, helping to reduce litter in the natural environment.
Our toilets are vacuum toilets, similar to those found on aeroplanes. When flushed, waste is transported directly into a tank using air and only a small amount of water, which is equivalent to 10 per cent of the water consumption of a standard toilet.
To encourage our guests to stay with us for longer, we offer a discount for multiple nights.
During the winter months, when we usually have fewer guests, we offer lower prices.
We work with local partners for catering and activities wherever possible and promote each other’s businesses. Most of the catering companies we recommend use local ingredients.
We provide information about the Swedish right of public access (‘Allemansrätten’) and have material available in various languages.
Our guests can relax with a selection of books about Swedish nature and the wilderness.
We recommend nature experiences and local activities.
We have water-saving shower heads and water from our own well.
We have invested in new energy-efficient washing machines with eco-programmes and a steam function, which are always used.
Towels are cleaned and changed after check-out to minimise our environmental impact.
We are actively working to reduce energy consumption by adjusting the indoor temperature when the property is not let, and by switching off the fridge and freezer.
We purchase cleaning products with the Ecolabel and engage cleaning companies that follow the same environmental policy.
At Gråbogården, we have replaced all light bulbs with LEDs. The only exceptions are the car parks, where a replacement is planned.
We respect wildlife and the natural environment by asking our guests to keep noise levels down outdoors after 10.00 pm.

Gråbogården can accommodate 40 people in seven bedrooms with bunk beds across two buildings. The glamping accommodation features a king-size bed for two people. All rooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses, down pillows, down duvets, bed linen and towels.
