JUNIPER

The JUNIPER, situated right next to CITTI PARK in the former canteen of the Lübecker Nachrichten, was completely refurbished within a year. The owner invested a seven-figure sum in state-of-the-art building services, sanitary facilities and ventilation systems. The operator, Arne Meier, aged 43, has been a well-established figure in the events industry in and around Lübeck for 20 years with his company, Gourmet Kontor. For many years, with a team of 20 permanent staff and around 200 temporary workers, he has been catering not only for VfB Lübeck but also for numerous events such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, as well as corporate functions in the wider Lübeck area for up to 10,000 people.

The Juniper carves out a niche amongst Lübeck’s established event venues. The venue offers two versatile event spaces: ‘LUNA’, ideal for celebrations, trade fairs, conferences and concerts, and ‘STELLA’, for smaller meetings and seminars. The “Juniper Garden”, a 3,500 m² event garden, facilitates large-scale open-air events such as summer festivals, Christmas markets or open-air concerts, as well as outdoor wedding ceremonies.

“Together, we want to establish Lübeck as a conference and events destination and attract top-tier companies from across Europe to the Bay of Lübeck,” said Arne Meier at an event at the Lübeck Convention Bureau.
