The location at Karolinenstraße 45 is located in the centre of Hamburg in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition grounds. The neo-Gothic brick building from the 19th century offers space for a wide variety of event formats with various rooms on 4 floors. The location used to serve as the administrative building of the "Karoline" coal-fired power station. In the 1990s, the building was partially demolished to make way for Lagerstrasse. Since 2015, after a long period of vacancy, the Karoline has been used as a versatile cultural and event venue and is home to the PAL club, which is known beyond Hamburg's borders.
The two main rooms with a ceiling height of 3 metres and an area of around 400 square metres are suitable for trade fair events, concerts, conferences, markets, performances and photo shoots. The large modern glass front paired with the historic brick walls offer exhibitions numerous opportunities to showcase the objects. Its proximity to the exhibition halls makes the Karoline a popular location for product presentations, meetings and evening events during the numerous trade fairs. The top floor of the Karoline is ideal for special occasions. A very special ambience awaits you here.
The Karoline has excellent transport connections. In addition to the car park at the exhibition grounds, the underground and S-Bahn stations are just a few minutes' walk away.
