A pearl for cineastes and newcomers: Cinema & Bar in the royal city.
Culture meets culinary delights. Many national film stars have been there and also international ones like the French actress and director Julie Delpy. The core of this bar is that it belongs to a cinema. In November 2019, a new art house cinema opened near Schönhauser Allee in Prenzlauer Berg on the site of an old brewery.
The counter is reminiscent of the command center of a spaceship, the unusually comfortable bar stools, which are upholstered in white leather and even have armrests in addition to backrests, invite you to linger. These splendid specimens from Interstuhl come from the film set of the action movie "Batman versus Superman". A total of up to 60 people can party together in the bar, which can also be rented independently of the cinema. A piano invites to spontaneous or planned live music.
The cinema hall with its 6 x 3 metre screen and 55 cinema seats is considered the "first ecological" one in the city. No emulsion paints were used here, but water-soluble paints and adhesives. The boarding of the walls was built from the wood of the Swiss stone pine. If you sniff it, you will notice that it releases essential oils. The healthy indoor climate is not only relevant for the viewers of great films, but also for the creative people who spend several hours here working on post-productions, image editing/colour correction in 2K, use the rooms as a studio for photo and film shoots, live events and broadcasts. In addition, film viewings, press screenings, company presentations, premieres, festivals, birthdays, wedding proposals and much more take place here.
Rental period is freely negotiable
