Kitzmantelfabrik

The Kitzmantelfabrik is an events centre committed to creating the best possible conditions for climate-friendly and environmentally sustainable events. For us, sustainability is not just an empty phrase, but rather a commitment to treating our resources and fellow human beings with respect. Since 3 October 2019, the Kitzmantelfabrik has been a ‘Green Location’ and a ‘Climate Alliance Business’. This makes the Kitzmantelfabrik one of the pioneers in Upper Austria!
Right from the construction phase, particular attention was paid to creating a timeless, multifunctional and ecologically sustainable event venue – entirely in keeping with today’s ‘green philosophy’.

• The Kitzmantelfabrik was an approximately 100-year-old industrial ruin that has been preserved through a resource-efficient refurbishment.

• The Kitzmantelfabrik is certified as a ‘Green Location’ under the Austrian Environmental Label.

• We work primarily with regional partners and service providers.

• Heating is provided on an on-demand basis using environmentally friendly local biomass heating.

• Room ventilation is activated electronically as required and features heat recovery.

• Stage lighting has been converted to energy-efficient LED lighting.

• Electric vehicle charging points are available in the car park for environmentally friendly electric vehicles.

• We ensure that the consumables we use are environmentally friendly.

• Information on travelling here by public transport is made easily accessible to our guests and customers.

• We strive to minimise waste as much as possible; however, any waste that is generated is sorted and disposed of professionally.

Opt for a Green Meeting or Green Event and benefit from an enhanced image among guests, sponsors, customers and the local community. Green Meetings and Green Events focus, amongst other things, on environmentally friendly travel to and from the venue, waste prevention, energy efficiency and regional economic benefit.
