From an industrial ruin abandoned to decay to an event location with the unique charm of times long past - a brief outline: In the course of the expansion of the old slaughterhouse, the Kleinviehhalle was opened on 02 January 1873. The building complex was closed as early as 1907, after which the Kleinviehhalle was used in a wide variety of ways. For many years this building stood empty. In 2014, the restoration of the listed sandstone building began in painstaking detail. The plan is to enrich Dresden's cultural landscape with a new event location. The mix of old and new styles is the main focus and does credit to the charm of the rebuilt industrial hall. The event building kleinvieh is divided into two main areas. On the one hand there is the concert hall on the ground floor including sound system and stage and on the other hand the lounge and the club room on the first mezzanine floor including sound system with view into the concert hall. The whole concept is complemented by artists' showers, production rooms, a partially covered smokers' courtyard (in the venue without having to leave it) as well as two spacious dressing rooms and sufficient sanitary facilities.
