The entrepreneurial couple Anke and Felix Sommer have created a place for meeting, creating and making decisions. The cosy ‘Hyggehaus’ is ideal for your team-building activities, music sessions, board meetings, retreats, seminar groups and development processes. Thanks to a large island kitchen in the Waldblick apartment, cooking events can also be held here.

The Kulturhof Dretzen is ideal for anyone who appreciates the personal touch of an individual workspace and accommodation and wants to be fully looked after: Your fridge is stocked, your workspace is close by, and if you don’t want to, you don’t have to leave the grounds during your stay. Once you arrive, you’ll immediately feel at home, as all the apartments are individually designed, high-quality, cosy and furnished in harmony with nature. You can retreat to your own space, but you can also be creative as part of a community. The history and spirit of the house have provided the inspiration for the design of the estate. Everything is geared towards your creative and productive process. You can get started straight away.

Creating art and music

Music is creativity, it is a creative process, it is tranquillity and relaxation, it is emotion and effervescent art. Felix & Anke Sommer are passionate musicians and visual artists who have always been searching for the perfect place to express and create the ‘
’ within them.

Together, they have created this space at Kulturhof Dretzen for discerning musicians and artists. The Hyggehaus is an acoustically engineered, ceiling-high room, technically connected to all the apartments in the main building and various spaces in the garden and woodland. This creates the opportunity to intuitively engage with the creative process anywhere and at any time, to put ideas into practice immediately and to capture them: together as a band, as a soloist, as a multi-instrumentalist or as an artists’ collective – anything is possible. The cosy Hyggehaus is ideal for any artistic process: for writing and designing, as well as for developing your art.

The apartments

Three separate and individual flats: ‘Gartenblick’, ‘Waldblick’ and ‘Dachreich’ can accommodate groups of up to 17 people, plus extra beds.

Catering

Each flat is equipped with a kitchen. We’ll stock the fridges for you with regional and organic produce. You can choose one of our culinary packages for this. Catering from an external provider is also an option. Just get in touch.

The Hyggehaus...

... is a large, modern and cosy workspace for seminars, conferences, meetings and creative processes. The room, with its high ceiling, has been acoustically optimised and is particularly suitable for recording acoustic instruments (and rhythm sections), as well as for interactive communication and conference settings. Smaller concerts or readings are also possible.

The grounds...

... is a Garden of Eden that is constantly evolving: natural meadows with inviting paths, a seating area, a herb garden, small water features and an edible garden, a small woodland area, a kitchen garden, the Kulturhof Plaza, a terrace, seating areas and much more. Recording and connection areas in the garden and woodland offer plenty of opportunities to work and relax outdoors.
