Lüttinghof – Die Burg im Wasser

Built in the 14th century in the lowlands along an ancient trade route, the castle served for a long time as a mill, a chapel and a residence for the nobility. The castle was redesigned in the Baroque style in the 18th century. In the 20th century, the castle chapel and the outbuilding were demolished. The main castle is adorned with oak trees over 300 years old and is surrounded by a wide moat.

Our main castle is just one of many event venues on our grounds. The small castle garden to the south of the main castle and the peninsula where the chapel once stood offer space, as does the forecourt of our main castle. Another option for planning your event in the open air is the former Baroque garden, which offers ample space for larger events.

Our main castle spans three levels. Up to 72 people can enjoy a festive meal in the cross-vaulted hall. On the ground floor, there is a large foyer, our lounge bar and the Knights’ Hall, which can accommodate between 80 and 120 people depending on the seating arrangement. On the upper floor, couples can have a civil wedding ceremony in a cosy atmosphere. Furthermore, depending on their size, our venues can be used for seminars and conferences.
