The marinaforum Regensburg conference and congress centre is an industrial heritage site dating from 1888 and is situated in the new Marina Quarter in the east of the city, within walking distance of the Old Town. The meticulously restored ‘Zollinger ceiling’ from 1927 lends the venue a special atmosphere. This ceiling structure was designed by the architect Friedrich Zollinger (1880–1945).
The event can be assessed in terms of sustainability; the concept was awarded the ADAC Tourism Special Prize for Sustainability, Bavaria 2019, for the “Holistic Sustainability Concept for the MICE Destination Regensburg”, DB Event Ticket.
BREEAM certification rated ‘Very Good’ for construction and operation. Certified as ‘Travel for All’.
