The Meistersaal at Potsdamer Platz - legendary event location in the centre of Berlin
The Meistersaal is one of Berlin's most historic and versatile event locations. Built in 1913 as a concert and festival hall, it combines neoclassical architecture, iconic musical history and state-of-the-art event technology - right in the centre of the capital.
The hall became world-famous as Hansa Studio 2, where artists such as David Bowie, U2, Depeche Mode, Iggy Pop and Nick Cave recorded. Personalities such as Kurt Tucholsky, Heinz Rühmann and Hildegard Knef also left their mark on the venue.
Today, the historic location is ideal for corporate events, congresses, conferences, award ceremonies, galas, concerts and hybrid and virtual formats. The 266 m² hall with a ceiling height of seven metres, stage, excellent acoustics and wooden coffered ceiling can be flexibly staged - from business events to evening galas.
The main hall is complemented by the 1920s-style Green Salon with bar, marble and stucco - perfect for get-togethers, breakout sessions or VIP areas - as well as the mirrored Wandelhalle for receptions and networking. A total of 463 m² is available for up to 500 guests.
Modern lighting, sound and video technology, streaming infrastructure and use as a broadcast studio for hybrid and digital events also make the Meistersaal a leading technical venue. It is also an established location for film, TV, photo and music productions.
The Meistersaal is managed by BESL Eventagentur, an experienced full-service partner that intelligently combines location, technology, catering and event conception.
