Great importance was attached to barrier-free facilities in the Mercatorhalle.
The halls and rooms are at ground level and accessible by elevators for the disabled and wheelchair users. A haptic guidance system is available for persons with impaired vision. Persons with impaired hearing have the possibility, with prior notification, to receive an audio system that amplifies the acoustics. In this way all interested visitors can experience the versatile Mercatorhalle.
