Oskar Restaurant & Wine Bar – Culinary delights under glass in Heidelberg’s Old Town

Restaurant & Vinothek Oskar is situated in the heart of Heidelberg’s Old Town, just a few steps from the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit. Within historic walls, modern design blends with the charm of an old townhouse: wooden floors, an exposed brick wall, olive trees and well-stocked wine racks create a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

The centrepiece is the glass-roofed conservatory. Here, your guests can sit al fresco whilst still being sheltered from the elements – whether on a balmy summer’s evening or by candlelight in winter. A large barrique barrel forms part of the décor and emphasises what Oskar is all about: fine wine and fine food. In the front area, the long bar invites you to enjoy an aperitif, a wine tasting or a glass of wine after your meal.

The cuisine blends German and Mediterranean influences and is seasonally inspired. Depending on the occasion, we’ll put together a bespoke menu of up to six courses for you – vegetarian options available on request – and recommend the perfect wines from our wine cellar.

We offer exclusive hire of the entire restaurant for up to 80 seated guests or 110 guests (seated or standing), or individual areas for smaller groups. Our team will assist you with your planning, from choosing the menu to selecting the wine pairings, and will ensure warm, attentive service on the evening itself.

Thanks to its central location, Oskar is easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the Old Town, and there are public car parks nearby.
