What was once built as a fortress butcher's shop and later used as a conference venue by the leadership elite in spiked caps and blue uniforms has been a restaurant under the name Offizierskasino since 1895.
Today, the panorama restaurant extends over three levels and combines historical charm with modern architecture. At the centre is the original casino with its impressive furnishings from the Wilhelminian era. The historic part of the building is complemented by two modern floors with a generous glass façade, which offer an impressive panoramic view of the fortress and Saxon Switzerland.
Today, the Offizierskasino offers space for enjoyment, events and conferences in a special ambience. From stylish evening banquets to festive receptions - the historic rooms provide the perfect setting for a wide variety of occasions. The offer is complemented by a spacious outdoor terrace, which is harmoniously embedded in the surrounding green spaces.
