Schießsportzentrum Suhl

Situated on the outskirts of Suhl, a town with a rich tradition in the arms industry, nestled amongst the greenery of the Thuringian Forest yet only a few minutes’ drive from the A71 and A73 motorways, our Suhl Shooting Centre serves as a training base for Olympic, national and regional teams. The 27-hectare sports complex offers numerous training ranges for all Olympic and a number of non-Olympic shooting disciplines. We can look back on 50 years of successful shooting sport as organisers of World and European Championships, World Cups and countless national competitions. At our cosmopolitan sports facility, international and national squad shooters train alongside club members and hunters. We also regularly welcome professional gunsmiths and hunting schools to our grounds; corporate events organised by well-known companies are also held here. Since autumn 2016, Schießsportzentrum Suhl (SSZ) GmbH has managed this training and competition venue, which has enjoyed a reputation in international elite sport since 1971.

Our grounds offer ample space and, as such, a wide range of options for private and corporate celebrations and events.
