The cinema in Hauffgasse was converted into an event centre almost 40 years ago and has long enjoyed cult status as ((szene)) Wien.

More than 200 music events of all genres take place here every year.

The hall seats 150 (seated on Heurigen sets), 220 (seated in rows of chairs) and up to 460 standing visitors.

The atmosphere resembles a London rock club. Nevertheless, the location is also popular for B2B events of a special kind, as a filming location for live videos, as an intimate setting for special occasions.

In summer, the cosy ((szene)) Soundgarden in the heart of Simmering invites you to linger with free admission and the finest culinary offerings (e.g. the in-house overbaked rock breads) in the context of concerts by exquisite local acts.
