The substation is situated on Oleariusstraße in the heart of Halle (Saale)’s old town, just a few steps away from the market square and the historic Dragon Fountain. This central location makes the Umspannwerk easily accessible for both local guests and business partners from further afield – thanks to good rail and public transport links, as well as ample parking facilities in the immediate vicinity.

Capacity and flexible spaces

With a total area of 275 square metres, the Umspannwerk can accommodate up to 250 guests. The light-filled interior, with its sandstone arches and glass façade, can accommodate up to 80 seated or 130 standing guests, complemented by a 130-square-metre terrace with panoramic views of the old town’s church towers, as well as an optional area in front of the building. The indoor and outdoor areas can be used separately or in combination, allowing the Umspannwerk to be flexibly adapted to a variety of corporate events.
