Sustainability at the Vision Campus
Sustainability is a central component of the Vision Campus – from its construction to its day-to-day operations. The entire complex is being built to the very latest energy standards and uses 100 per cent green electricity. A large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof and façade supplies over 60 per cent of the complex’s electricity requirements, whilst modern heat pumps ensure efficient heating and cooling. Smart lighting controls, LED technology and energy monitoring further reduce consumption.
We also prioritise sustainability in our choice of materials and construction processes: durable, recyclable building materials, regional supply chains and low-emission finishes are standard. Green outdoor spaces, permeable surfaces and rainwater harvesting support the microclimate and conserve resources.
Mobility is designed with the environment in mind – with electric charging points, cycle parking, JobRad schemes and shuttle services from Schwäbisch Hall railway station. For events and studio operations, the rule is: no single-use plastic, consistent waste separation and reusable concepts. Catering focuses on regional produce, seasonal ingredients and at least 70 per cent vegetarian and vegan options.
Film and photography productions are also carried out in a resource-efficient manner: through LED lighting technology, digital workflows and low-carbon transport solutions. Green spaces, native plants and nesting sites create habitats for insects and birds.
The Vision Campus thus represents a new generation of sustainable event and production venues – energy-efficient, resource-conserving, regionally rooted and socially responsible.
