ZIK – Time is short: a space for art, socialising and events

Housed in a former department store, ZIK – Zeit ist knapp brings together art, culture and events across 4,500 m². Large glass façades, spacious gallery areas and a versatile layout create an extraordinary setting for up to 1,500 people.

Set amongst permanent artworks and changing exhibitions, the cabaret stage offers a venue for acoustic concerts, theatre,performers and collectives. The gallery café, situated in the heart of the collectors’ gallery, invites visitors to linger over speciality coffees. The market square on the ground floor is a culinary meeting place for local residentsand visitors. Regular markets explore an alternative department store concept.

Large wall spaces provide room for photography, canvas works and wall installations. A roller-skating rink, dance floors and a modular pop-up skate park bring movement to the space and enable a variety of event formats.

One venue, endless possibilities

Whether it’s an exhibition, a corporate event, a fashion or brand event, a product launch or a private celebration: the spaces can be customised to suit your needs. There is also space here for collectors’ dinners, large banquets, markets, trade fairs, conferences and parties. For film and photography productions, the former department store offers a variety of backdrops, customisable sets and collaborations with artists.
