Kino International

The Kino International in the heart of Berlin, not far from Alexanderplatz opened in 1963 as GDR’s main single-screen premiere cinema. The free-standing building is a protected cultural heritage and is still used daily as a cinema, as well as a venue for premieres and festivals such as the Berlinale. Following an 18-month refurbishment, the venue reopened in spring 2026

Thanks to its grand and spacious architecture, the cinema is suitable for a wide range of event formats. The entrance area, with its entrance hall illuminated by 242 light bulbs, offers a cloakroom, space for accreditation, photo opportunities and sponsors. Two wide staircases lead up to the Panorama Bar. Overlooking the TV Tower, the lounge is perfect for a reception in an elegant atmosphere, complete with a bar and space for food stations. The cinema auditorium, with its wide stage and state-of-the-art 4K projection technology, is ideal for both glamorous award ceremonies and focused conference settings. Thanks to its iconic architecture, the building regularly serves as a motive for film productions and photo shoots.
