Here at Sperling, we look forward to welcoming you whatever the season or the weather, with a cosy, living-room atmosphere in a historic building, alongside modern food and drink inspired by Austrian traditions and the culinary highlights of international cuisine. Regional ingredients sourced from sustainable farms, as well as hand-picked produce from the world’s culinary capitals, round off our offering.
Sperling in the Augarten
When the Austrian Emperor Joseph II opened the Augarten to the public in 1775, he introduced nightingales – which belong to the sparrow family – to the park to mark the occasion. And so our “Sperling im Augarten” was born. As the sparrow is a sociable bird, it also represents our philosophy: coming together in a kind of nest – a place where Mozart and Haydn also left their mark.
True to our motto, ‘Happiness is a little bird’, this means to us that whilst beautiful moments may come and go, the memories of them here with us – and the culinary delights – will remain. We look forward to sharing your special moments with us!
With this in mind, we offer our ever-popular set menus for your parties in the form of ‘Sperling’s Genusstisch’
Info: Sperling’s Gourmet Table/Brunch
With this, we’ll treat you to a selection from our menu. We’ll serve all the dishes listed on our ‘Genusstisch’ (adapted to the season) as a family-style buffet – so everyone can sample and combine dishes as they please – without being spoilt for choice.
“The house sparrow recommends pecking to your heart’s content.”
We also cater wonderfully for guests who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. Simply pure, relaxed enjoyment.
Please feel free to send us your personalised enquiry!
